#4 To be zen is to be peaceful

#4 To be zen is to be peaceful

    In today's episode:

What is zen in this context? Let's talk about zen with the intention of practically improving our lives. What is the neuroscience behind zen, meditation and mindfulness?

We're talking about the lowercase "zen" in the dictionary - for my content, it's only capitalized if it's a title; never because it's the noun version! Spoiler alert: it has no particular religious affiliation and is accessible to all. Loincloths and inversions are not required (although you'll still catch me upside down).

Can trauma help or hurt you on your journey towards harnessing your inner zen?

What do you and Eckhart Tolle have in common?

Lululemon, if you're reading this, call me...

    Let's do it, zen grasshopper.

#3 Your evolution begins with a growth mindset

#3 Your evolution begins with a growth mindset

    In today's episode:

It's time to evolve! Everything begins with a growth mindset. Today I share some (previously dormant) memories showcasing how I've evolved in my own life and tips on how you can step into your own power.

Self-improvement is a process and a practice - are you committed? What does it take? Neuroplasticity will pave the way... we just have to be willing to walk towards the light.

We all start somewhere, but that's not where we have to end up if we have a growth mindset.

Evolve into the person you're meant to be.

    Let's do it, zen grasshopper.

#2 How to write a book part 2

#2 How to write a book part 2

    In today's episode:

How to write and edit a book in a short time and the in depth stages of the writing process. I will walk you through my creative process and share my tips, tricks and lessons along the journey of my writing career. And tangents.. beautiful tangents. My podcast is non-linear like my creativity process.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty of writing a book. How do you become the best writer you can be?

Learn your craft. It's not enough to be a native speaker; you need to become an expert in writing tools, as well as harnessing your own unique voice.

I offer book recommendations to learn the nuts and bolts of writing foundations: syntax, punctuation, grammar, spelling, usage et al. Flowery language vs being pithy.

Ideas are nothing without execution. What exactly is the book outline and what should be included?

Creative writing and professional writing courses are golden - learn from the feedback I received in university.

How to go from a blank page mocking you to a blank slate of opportunity and the beginning of your book.

What is flow and how can you find it?

    Prioritize your creativity.

And KILL YOUR DARLINGS (save another copy though).

    Let's do it, zen grasshopper.

#1 How I wrote How to be Zen in a Crisis (how to write a book part 1)

#1 How I wrote How to be Zen in a Crisis (how to write a book part 1)

    In today's episode:

How to write, edit, design and publish a book in a short time and stay sane in a crisis while doing it. I will walk you through the general stages and share my real and raw journey to go from unpublished to #1 on the hot and new bestseller Amazon charts. And tangents... beautiful tangents. :P

Are you already a writer? Do you have a burning desire to be an author (because, spoiler alert, writing books is tough)?

Are you committed to finish your book and not just be working on a book?

Is your desire coming from a pure intention or are you hoping for quick riches or fame? Maybe try an alternate career path for that...

How can you centre yourself through the process of writing a nonfiction book or fiction novel?

How important is timing for publication?

Ambition vs. self-care, the delicate balance.

What was my ideation process like for my book?

How did I write it so fast at the beginning of the pandemic?

When do you do your best work? "Know thy self."

    How is your content valuable?

Why I trashed all my research and investigation into the traditional publishing industry when it came time to publish. Are you willing to do what it takes? What does that even entail?

Do you have both fire in your heart and under your glutes?

    Let's do it, zen grasshopper.
