I wrote this poem while doing my laundry in my local laundry mat, thinking about life and how i can compare life to doing the laundry/ reflecting life. How life can sometimes feel so pointless after all the hard work you've put in yet nothing seem to work out. And after all the trials and tribulations and just before you say "that's it I'm done" something inside says, hey there is always tomorrow, time to face the day, a new day life is for living and it will get better.
The artwork is a painting of wonderful vibrant colours in the foreground, reflecting the beauty of life although it can be rough (this is reflected from the dark shadowy background) at times and can and is wonderfully beautiful also.
Through the darkness and the artificial reflections of what we expect life to be, comes the light of enlightenment if you like, of what life truly is.
