    When two Poets get talking

    When two Poets get talking

I LOVE POETRY and in this episode I talk to a fellow spoken word poet Swagatika Sarangi. Spoken word poetry is a form of performance poetry where a poet performs their poem in front of an audience. It is different from page poetry which is meant to be read on a paper.  Swagatika is a traveler and writer and she tells me about her writing processes, travels and favorite poets. We talk about moments of defeat, victory and the sheer beauty of poetry. "Everything is poetry" and you need to tune in to know why! I hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording it.

Women characters in books: The icons we need

Women characters in books: The icons we need

Women have for very long read descriptions of themselves given by lousy unaware male authors.  Everyone seems to know what women think and feel without actually talking to them. This is why stories of women written by women are important. Women artists have existed for very long but the dialogue about their art has only now slipped into our conversations. In this episode I discuss women lead characters in books and what makes them feminist icons. I talk about my favorite women characters in books and things about them that make them the absolute best and relatable characters of all time!

    Friendship, Books and Laughter

Jaya and I have been friends since junior school and we both love books from as long as we can remember. In this very special episode I talk to my bestfriend Jaya Shukla, who is an avid reader like me and finds joy in the little 'reads' of life. We laugh out loud to memories related to books and ask each other random questions.  I hope you have as much fun listening to it as we did making this episode !
