    EPISODE TWO: CHINESE/CHINESE/CHINESE

    EPISODE TWO: CHINESE/CHINESE/CHINESE

Being part of a majority yet marginalized group at U of T is complicated. Three Chinese students from different backgrounds discuss differences between domestic and international Chinese students and how some people still assume the thousands of us here are just iterations of the same person — we’re not, lol.

We figured a discussion about East Asian students altogether would be too broad for a few people for three people, so tell us what we missed and your own thoughts/experiences at podcast@thevarsity.ca.

Guests: Junhan Rozee Liu, Josie Kao
Music: Kevin MacLeod, “Rollin at 5 - 210 - full”

    EPISODE ONE: BUILDINGS TALK/TALK SUCKS

    EPISODE ONE: BUILDINGS TALK/TALK SUCKS

It can suck being at a ‘legacy’ institution that has excluded and can continue to be hostile toward marginalized groups. We discuss how the physical spaces and academia on campus can get pretty gross, pretty fast.

This is a huge conversation affecting tons of communities differently! We’re just two dumb bitchez talking about our own stories, so this conversation focuses mainly on our experiences as cisgender, straight women in humanities courses. Tell us what we missed and your own thoughts/experiences at podcast@thevarsity.ca.
