Have you ever been in a conflicting situation and both parties are stating their positions. When you’re in that situation have you ever thought to stop and ask the individual “what are your interests” and not only that, but stop and ask yourself the same question, “what are my interests?” Sometimes we think we know what our position is but come to find out that we’ve been driving the wrong position because our true interests haven’t surfaced quite yet.

I’m Ruth Bushman and I’m grateful that you came with your positions, because today, we are going to learn of your interests.
