But then I also got to find out some of the Ah-Hah moments students have when learning biology and also fields of work that students often end up working in.
This is a great episode and I’m sure you’re going to love it. So come with me as we step into a conversation with the new Head of Medical Pathway and Teacher of Biology, it’s Tom Pitt.

Meet the new EAL Teacher, Katie Martin

#019 - Welcome back to the The NatMatSci Podcast, brought to you by The National Mathematics & Science College. This is the podcast to let you find out more about NatMatSci by hearing from the whole community talking about their experiences, all unscripted and unplugged, so that you can hear what life is really like at the college.
Today I’m speaking to Katie Martin, she’s the new EAL Teacher. EAL stands for English as an Additional Language which means she’s perfectly placed to help students who don’t speak English as a first language.
Now I loved this episode because I got to find out where in the world Katie has travelled to, not as a tourist but for work, getting to know people in different cultures and environments, and then how that’s going to help the students at NatMatSci given the experience that Katie brings.
So let’s not waste any more time but instead come with me as we step into a conversation with the new EAL Teacher, it’s Katie Martin.

What's happening at NatMatSci and what's coming in the future, with Dr Andy Kemp

What's happening at NatMatSci and what's coming in the future, with Dr Andy Kemp

#015 - Welcome back to the The NatMatSci Podcast, brought to you by The National Mathematics & Science College. This is the podcast to let you find out more about NatMatSci by hearing staff and students talking about their experiences, all unscripted and unplugged, so that you can hear what life is really like at the college.
Today I’m with Dr Andy Kemp, Principal at the college. We talk about what’s been happening at the college, the new boarding facilities, how the catering there has changed (and I think you’ll be impressed with these changes!) and what’s coming up in the future. But we also talk about technology, innovation, communicating these advances to the outside world before getting onto the subject of self-driving cars, always an interesting subject.
That’s all coming up in this episode so come with me now as we speak to Principal, Dr Andy Kemp.
    Douglas Adams Quote:
    1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
    2. Anything that’s invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
    3. Anything invented after you’re thirty-five is against the natural order of things.
