Roynes Dural
Roynes Dural was wrongfully convicted in Hawaii - but no one would ever know - because the media didn’t report on it. In this episode Demarchoe talks to Roynes about his experience.
There are a few minor changes for the next few weeks. Brooke’s doctor has told her “she needs to stop talking so much” because of a medical issue - so she will only be speaking to help introduce the sponsors. Don’t worry she’s still doing some of the behind the scenes work as well!

Great Podcast
I like that this podcast allows an avenue for the wrongfully convicted to tell their stories that would otherwise fade into the crowd. It helps to bring awareness to a major issue that most people would not otherwise know exists.
Love these podcasts
I just can't say enough good things about this podcast.
Good concept, poor execution
I tried to like this. I genuinely wanted to. This topic is in my field. I wanted to assign it to my students. After months of listening and tuning it out.... I gave up. Here are my thoughts:
1. Brooke's delivery is wooden and her speech pattern is stilted. This is because her narration is read verbatim, and not spoken from notes. You can tell from the random pauses and tone of her voice.
2. I get it, you do phone interviews because you don't want to push your exonerees to use technology they're not comfortable with. But you can still edit the audio to clean it up and make it easier to listen to.
3. She's clearly a novice interviewer. Hopefully her skills will improve but currently they detract from the interviewees.
4. Edit, condense, narrate (but please do not read). This will improve the flow and make the podcast less boring. Good luck.
