Afterlight is a bi-monthly podcast with hosts Allie and Mahlon. Two former Twilight fans who venture back into the small town of Forks and the mysterious world of the Cullens. Looking back it's pretty clear these books are kinda terrible. However, there must be a reason why this book swept the nation and made many teen girls swoon at the idea of Sparkly Vampires?
That's the question they're set to answer!
So join them every second and last Tuesday of every month, as they explore the good, the very, very bad, and the unfortunate implications of the Twilight Saga.

Episode 6 - Alice Cullen Deserved Better
We finish the book in record time!
Topics include:
More vapid romance, Cullen Family History, Esme's sad backstory, Carlise's far more interesting backstory, storm baseball, the plot appears, Bella breaks her dad very cruely, Bella shows some competence, Bad guy vampire has a stupid motive, and a noncomital ending. Mahlon rants about James the Vampire and Allie is excited for the movie. -

Episode 3 Second Verse Same as the First
Content Warning: We go deep into the very unhealthy and borderline abusive behavior.

Episodes game, Bella and Edward get together, actually good moments of writing, repetitive chapters, Bella wanting to jump Edward and make the school watch, why is this book called Twilight, Edward is lucky that Bella is into danger, more re-write talk, Mahlon makes a crass joke and struggles to find something to talk about (the book offers almost nothing) and Allie wonders where are the gay high school boys are.
