Incredible, soothing and always fascinating

Roman Mars singing California Über Alles is definitely a highlight for me. incredible episodes like “he’s still neutral” and “Great bitter lake association” are a great jump off point for anyone looking to start with recent stuff, then head back to “Kowloon walled city” and “life and death in Singapore” from more fascinating episodes about forgotten and never discussed aspects of other cultures around the world.

Please keep up the good work

Phenomenal

I’ve been a longtime listener of 99% invisible and can’t recommend this podcast enough. Not only is if fantastic reporting/storytelling, but it is a prime example of what amazing editing can do to elevate the listeners experience. The editing is so beautifully done, that it has genuinely ruined some other podcasts for me. Finally, Roman Mars just has the greatest hearty chuckle that brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. I will never get enough of this podcast.

The Kirkbride Plan

“The Kirkbride plan” was a fantastic episode. The history of the design of mental health facility’s and the sub story, looking at alternative opportunities like the Gould farm, are what I wrote my Masters of Architecture’s thesis on. Creating place for community mental health support should be a more widely prioritized and accepted.
