The best
I am a few years late to this but I am absolutely loving this podcast. I am the biggest Tolkien fan out of everyone I know, and I share a special bond with my dad through the Lord of the Rings as we watch it together almost every year at Christmas time (this year we did the Hobbit trilogy too). You both are so great to listen to and you bounce off eachother so well. You bring up so many points and side stories related to the Lord of the Rings that I also think about on my own. Sometimes when you bring them up I’m like wow, they read my mind! For example, in episode 18 or 19 you speak about how wild the Battle of the Stars would have been, with countless balrogs and dragons and other dark creatures. I’ve thought about this battle and looked for artwork online about the battle many times. Overall, you two are fantastic and I love spending long car rides and walks listening to you talk Tolkien.
Long winded and talk over each other
I tried to listen to the silmarillon podcast, but 30 mins in they hadn’t even delved into the book yet, and then it was just the one guy speaking about the first part in such a long winded way, and the other guy trying to chime in. It was tough to listen to, and I had to stop it shortly thereafter. It’s a shame because clearly they have interesting commentary, but they can’t get out of their own way.
Sigh, I was looking forward to the content.

I found this podcast through swish and flick. I got into lord of the rings/the hobbit by watching the movies. You guys are doing a great job. If I was in Middle Earth, I’m sure I would be a hobbit. :) keep up the awesome work.
