Art Grind is a podcast for and about artists, art lovers and art professionals. It is a social practice of giving back to the art community of which we are a part and explores the process, content, concept and motivation behind art making of both established and emerging artists and the people who bring that art to a wider audience. We are artists ourselves and wear many hats, including curation, art writing and art teaching. We share a passion for authentic and skilled art making, be it trained or self-taught. Whether in the studio, on your lunch hour or chilling out after a long day of hustle, have a listen while we explore, along with our guests, the backstories of what we fondly call “the art grind”.

Good stuff

Enjoyed the episode with Guno Park! Great conversation like you’re all sitting around a table and chitchatting and you’re the observer!

hosts are very annoying

this is a very useful portal into the art world and into practical matters about the art world especially figurative painting but these are not expert podcast presenters - Marshall is always doing this extremely annoying vocal fry with his voice like not in a valley girl way but in a very pretentious sounding way. Dina has a lisp that I cannot ignore, has a vocal tick of "ah" and "eh" after sentences that is very hard to ignore and uses the word "like" in excess. The ep where they interview her is basically unlistenable.

All of that being said, I recommend this podcast to any serious young artist.
