Brutal, bizarre, and boozy podcast Jane and Deklan

This week Jane tells us about a spring break gone bad with the case of Britnee Drexel. Britnee disappeared in 2009 and the case went cold for several years. A false report led investigators to believe they solved the case until phone tracking technology proved the case needed to be further investigated to find the real perpetrator, Raymond Moody.
Deklan tells us about Toran Singh, known as Titu. He started telling his parents about interesting memories of his life at a very young age. He knew details about places that a child couldn’t possibly have known about at the time. Was Titu reincarnated from a man who had been murdered?

This week Deklan tells us about the serial kidnapper and murderer, Gary Heidnik, who inspired the movie character, Buffalo Bill. He kept multiple victims in his basement but made a strange mistake that allowed one to escape leading to his arrest.
Jane tells us about some mysterious things that happen in an eastern Oregon forest. Malheur National Forest is reported as the most haunted forest in Oregon with several strange things being seen and reported.

This week Deklan tells us about Susan Smith who was an FBI informant for agent, Mark Putnam. The two started having an affair which led to Susan getting pregnant. Mark didn’t want any interruption to his life and took Susan’s life which led to his conviction for manslaughter.
Jane tells us about a bizarre illness that began in Europe in 1916 but likely existed before that. Victims of this illness would be frozen in position but very much aware of their surroundings. The cause and treatment for the illness are not really known.

Deklan tells us about photographer, Robert Le Serrec, who in 1964 went on a fun day trip to Hook Island off the coast of Australia. An enjoyable day in the sun turned into a strange sighting and mystery. Robert saw a strange animal in the water and was able to get some chilling pictures of the “monster.”

Jane tells us about a member of parliament and suspected spy, John Stonehouse. He started an affair with his secretary and was severely in debt. In an effort to start his life over he faked his own death. He was caught a month later in Australia after making weird bank transactions.

Investigators didn’t know that they also needed to be looking for their missing child, Holly Marie. She was eventually found safe and sound but more answers are needed to what happened to her parents.
Deklan tells us about a period of a few weeks in New Jersey when sharks were attacking people repeatedly. Sharks were even seen in fresh water creeks. This story was just one of the stories that inspired the movie Jaws. Was there one shark or multiple deadly man eaters? Could any of the attacks have been prevented?
