CEO, Melissa Laughlin of Blessed Home Project
Hi! I’m Melissa Laughlin – wife, mom, entrepreneur, and a girl after God’s own heart! I am the founder and CEO of Blessed Home Project. This story begins when I was 19 years old and started my own cleaning company. Throughout the years it grew and expanded, but I continued to feel a tug on my heart for something more. When friends or family were going through challenging times, I noticed everyone brings food (which is great) but I thought I could clean your toilets and floors and that would be helpful too. As years went on, I would do just that. One day on the job, God made it clear to me that I should start a nonprofit to expand the reach of those in need of this service. My husband and I prayed and processed what that might look like. In 2020, we made it official! We worked through all the legal aspects, formed the board, and started serving in the community in 2021. This organization was created to be a blessing by using the practical gift of cleaning to alleviate a burden and be a light in someone’s life. https://www.blessedhomeproject.org/
