Martin Short interview-JFK death in Canada
I love Bill’s Real Time and Club Random episodes- the intellectual discussion, humour and irreverence. As a Canadian was shocked though to hear Bill ask Martin Short in the discussion on JFK’s death, ‘ oh you heard that in Canada?’ OMG Bill, it shocked our nation and was immediately on all the new stations. I will never forget my mom running to our yard to tell us. Canada is also not meshed with US as suggested, especially in the realm of political division. We literally do not know who our friends and family are voting for and like it that way. Bill you need an update on Canada and our modernity, culture and journalistic integrity.
Good (but)
I’ll admit to being a long time listener, a year ago I would have given a 5 star review (without question). However, I have been a tad repulsed by the constant (pushing) of the new book on both shows. It’s almost a continuous desperate plea that feels like you need the money or worse, push to get it listed as a best seller for ego? I’ve also noticed a slight combative attitude (sometimes) when speaking to world renowned experts in their fields or worse (are music icons). Although, you are a music lover, to marginally argue with legends perspectives is / has been a slight turn off. I share this knowing, it will not be read, however I (used to) truly enjoy listening to all shows, beginning to end on all episodes and now, not so much. It would be great to have (at minimum) the book pitches cease and then I would happily change my rating to a 5 star review, without question. Your a brilliant mind, and bring value to interesting topics that are relevant with terrific guests. Thank you for doing what you do so well.
