Very confusing and misnamed podcast

I find this podcast very confusing - it assumes you know the background on a story and jumps right into a specific aspect of the story. I also don’t see the link between some of the topics and the “true crime” genre - thinking specifically of the episode about The Staircase and documentary film making.
