Quirky, dodgy sources; needs a voice coach

Having listened to a few eps - if you enjoy a thorough crime podcast, this is it. I agree with some that the voice can be a bit quirky? Not because it's a female voice, but because there's a strange, awkward cadence and over enunciation. I'm not sure that I appreciate the advice the podcaster doggedly doles out - I prefer to stick to the story - but that's easy enough to ignore. ETA: I finally remember who her vocal pattern reminds me of!! The Rabbi Glickman character in a couple episodes of Seinfeld! ETA2: OK, there is NO controversy in Canada about how to pronounce the city "Calgary." Good lord. Should have put that energy into pronouncing "Saskatchewan" because that was a mess. I knocked a star off after listening to a podcast where I have some familiarity with the place. It made me wonder how off-base other podcasts might be.

Come on people

I love Charlie and her podcasts. I can’t believe the people that have an issue with the sound of her voice and cadence. It’s her bloody voice. Come on people 🙄. There are plenty of true crime podcasts I listen to some offer a lot of opinion and some don’t. If you find Charlie is too opinionated then move in to another podcast that doesn’t. Charlie has very well researched and written episodes. I can’t believe anyone would give you a bad review just because of your voice. Thanks Charlie I’ve been listening since in sight and will continue cause you’re one of the best
