Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta is an associate professor of Medicine at McGill University and an attending physician at the McGill University Health Centre. She has worked on numerous research projects funded by Diabetes Canada and on this episode discusses two of them – diabetes stigma in people with type 1 diabetes and how the spouse of a woman with gestational diabetes may be at higher risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Dr. Dasgupta’s research takes a look at some unique areas of diabetes and deepens our understanding of the people who live with this disease.
