I knew it was a winner when I heard “swamp dwelling monsters”
I can’t stop laughing - she called child killers “the hills have eyes”. She is so supportive of the victims and creatively roasts the perps.
Pretty good...but...
I really like that there's no small talk before the actual podcast. Perfect. I only listen to narrative style pods; I'll *never* listen to a pod with more than one host. Perfect. She can be very humourous and sarcastic at times. Also perfect. . Here's the "but":. . In her 'Hot Takes' after each episode, she often loses herself in a ramble, and doesn't quite make any 'point', which can be really cringey at times. But she'll also start whispering while rambling, and who can actually hear ANYTHING of what she says at those times?? She's literally unintelligible/incomprehensible 🤦♀️. . For some unknown reason, she feels it's necessary to read a review at the end of each episode, wherein it's really easy to imagine each of those reviewers waking up in their Heather Ashley duvet, brushing their teeth with their Heather Ashley toothbrush, and then drinking their coffee from their Heather Ashley mug...you get the idea. . All of that is to say, her need to read these reviews out loud, not only spotlights her (obvious) need to be admired, but also demonstrates her need for everyone else to 'know' how much she's admired too 🙄. There's also a need for approval, but I really want to ask her why SHE thinks her listeners would want to hear those reviews? There's no educational value, other than learning a bit more about Heather's self-esteem issues. In which case I recommend a therapist Heather, not filling your deep need for approval with bum-licker reviews. . Then there's her (often cringey) responses to those reviews. All I can say sometimes is: Ugh. I think she's trying to sound humble and 'cutesy' at the same time...? And again she gifts us with her whispered mumbling that I think only bats might be able to hear. . Lastly...is her constant need to remind us that she's a mother. Anytime she narrates a case with a mother/victim she compulsively has to say "Me too! I'm a mom. Teehee. Hashtag mom life, amirite?" Ok I paraphrased a little, but you get the idea.🙄 One last thing Heather...a bedroom 'suite' is pronounced like 'sweet'. Notice the 'e' at the end.

Absolutely love this podcast and host . I love the way you honour the victims and the victims families and I’m obsessed with the way you bash the monsters who are responsible, you say the things we are all thinking!! You are so relatable , and I personally love to swearing because I to , love to utilize as many four letter words as I can lol definitely obsessed with you and the podcast. I wait each week for years to get released and I hope you never stop making contact!!
