Creating clothing from coffee waste with JM Fabrizi @ Coalatree Eco-Warriors Podcast | Sustainability, Environmentalism, Conservation

Small Act of Green Rebellion: Wear clothes that help to close the loop.

From the most supported clothing launch on Kickstarter to using coffee grounds in their hoodies and socks, Coalatree has created a brand that thinks as much about durability as they do about sustainability. JM Fabrizi, Director of Brand Development, joins us to chat about how the brand has successfully launched several products on Kickstarter, from the Kachula Blanket to the Trailhead Pants. Their evolution hoodies is made out of a  fabric, developed in Taiwan and Bluesign certified, that has helped to remove over 140,000 plastic bottles and 82,000 cups of coffee grounds from the waste stream so far.

Visit Coalatree on Instagram and Twitter to see more. You can also check out their current Kickstarter for a self-healing windbreaker (I'm not kidding).
