Episode 157 - Delanie Wisz Outside The Chute

    • Sports

Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with UCLA Bruins alum, Athletes Unlimited member and current Assistant Coach with San Diego State, the one and only, Delanie Wisz.
Lanie has had a remarkable career so far and she’s just getting started. She transferred to UCLA from LMU and definitely found her comfort zone while in a Bruins uniform. Over the course of her college career, she appeared in 251 games, compiled a .330 batting average, hit 57 home runs, and drove in 191 runs. She led the Bruins to two NCAA College World Series appearances and was named to the 2022 Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team. Lanie then went on to play a pro season with the USSSA Pride before finding her home with Athletes Unlimited.  As a full time Assistant Coach with the San Diego State Aztecs this season, they currently sit with an 8-6 record and had a very strong showing at the Mary Nutter Classic this past weekend.
We’re gonna talk to Lanie about getting her start in the game, her time in travel ball and high school, the journey from LMU to UCLA, Athletes Unlimited and much, much more.
Lanie was an absolute pleasure to chat with.  We’re so excited to see what the future holds for her, cause no doubt its going to be fantastic with whatever it is she pursues.
