Everton Blair: Being a First to Serve The Leaders' Table

    • Education

In a historic 2018 win, Everton Blair became the first person of color, the first openly LGBTQ+ candidate, and youngest-ever individual to serve on the Gwinnett County Board of Education. For Blair, his job on the school board is personal, considering that he grew up in the very district he now serves. From the classroom to the Obama White House, Everton uses all of his experiences to ensure that every student in Gwinnett County is able to get the best education possible, no matter where they live.
