Everybody wants that once-in-a-lifetime love. But to Ana, the one person she had her eyes on didn't even know she existed. She was the shy, awkward girl that longed for Ted, the handsome and popular kid in school. Fast forward 20+ years, and out of the blue, Ana receives a friend request on social media from none other than Ted. There was one small problem...Ted was going to prison!
In this premiere episode of season 5, we'll get to know Ana and her life path that eventually collided with Ted's. This is just the beginning of a 10-year roller coaster that brought her the highest highs and the lowest lows.

In this episode, Ted is released from prison and he and Ana are free to start their lives together. Things got off to a rocky start though and Ana began seeing signs of rage from Ted...but that wasn't all. She also began hearing rumblings from her friends and family about Ted's inappropriate behavior around other women. When it was time to get a place together, Ana gets an email from Ted that shattered her world!!!

Ending up on the nightly news in a big scandal didn't keep Ana from marrying Ted. In her backyard with just a few people in attendance, Ana said yes to the man of her dreams...along with three felons as her witnesses. While the first year of marriage went pretty well, the second year took a nosedive and one particular person in Ted's life proved to be a thorn in Ana's side.

People who continue to make poor decisions
The first season is mind boggling. Tried to feel for the protagonists as she tells us her child has a biological dad, then a dad that was her step dad and vanished, then the man who lied and manipulated her but she let back in, and an alcoholic man she’s dated…. Poor child, “old soul” her mother calls her: as if she ever had a choice.
Love this podcast!
The stories are genuine and serve to help individuals who have been subjected to gaslighting, manipulation, and narcissistic personalities feel connected which empowers them. Those of us who have gone through such situations often feel shame. The stories presented have helped me shed that shame. Thank you, ladies!!
