Today is very special as we welcome my mom to the show. We learn about her story and really give us the chance to meet her through this medium. From the resilience and fortitude she has with the adversity she faced to meeting Asafa and watching her daughter grow up and get married. Plus, advice for all the couples out there.

From the first time Asafa and Ajani met in 2008, Safa knew he would be in his spirit. At the time he had just retired from the NBA. Starting in track and field, basketball found him. As a scholar at Georgia Tech, he walked onto the basketball team. Years later signing with the Atlanta Hawks was a full circle moment for Ajani. How athletes transition into business should begin before retirement, and treating business as a skill. 

Today it's just me, and im talking about becoming a mom, and leaving the baggage behind. It's about letting go of the negativity and not allowing it live rent free in your headspace. Making sure im saying NO when it makes sense, and not being a people pleaser.

Today I am the full amazing Powell, since hubby isn’t here and because it’s a girls conversation with my Toronto family. Both fitness trainers, looking fit, thick, and snatched with my girls Eva and Britney!
