Late arrival after 35 years of wanting to read Dune
The Villeneuve movie, and then this podcast, can make all your 90s teen girl dreams come true.
I am like a lot of quiet weird girls in the 90s. I wanted to read Dune so bad, with its lonely cover and toothsome inches and really really weird words. But it was a boy book. And it didn’t make any sense! With no one to talk to about it, I could only make my brave attempts and abandon it, again and again.
I love this podcast because it gives your soft teen self someone to talk to, to explain it without getting shamed for being interested but not knowing how to start. I love this podcast so much. It’s nice to revisit my younger self and finally get to be excited about the world of Dune.
The best way to discover Dune!
I’m not a huge reader, but this podcast and its book club episodes gave me the motivation I needed to finish a book for the first time in years! It’s the best way to discover explore the world(s) of Dune. The hosts are amazing. Thank you guys !
Thoughtful, intelligent, funny AF
This has become my #1 podcast. Abu and Leo are passionate and incredibly well-versed in the Dune universe. I laugh out loud regularly and learn something new every episode. If you’re like me and reading the Dune series for the first time and routinely find yourself completely lost in Frank’s plots within plots, this podcast is for you. I can’t recommend it enough!
