After a party in 2010, Malcolm had a near death experience from a car accident.
In fact, he was clinically dead for quite some time.

While his family gathered at the hospital around his body on life support,
Malcolm went on a journey.
Eventually his family made the devastating decision to pull the plug.
But when they did, Malcolm came back into his body.

He was able to tell family members conversations they had.
Things they did, even telephone calls they made.
While his body was broken in that hospital bed, Malcolms spirit, consciousness, soul…
went someplace else and had his mind awakened.
