    Episode 23 - Michael Lamport

    Originally from England Michael Lamport has carved out a career in Toronto Canada by dipping his toe into just about every aspect of film and television production.

    Michael is co-owner of LAMPORT-SHEPPARD ENTERTAINMENT and the producer and narrator of Rescue Mediums, which was seen in 28 countries around the world before its long run ended in 2011. He has also produced programming for Discovery Channel USA and the series Curious and Unusual Deaths for Discovery Channel Canada and the Crime and Investigation channel in the UK. Michael was also the producer and host of the travel series Suite & Simple that aired on networks in Canada and the USA.

    His documentary film Offstage, which followed the trials and tribulations of the residents of a small town as they put on an Xmas stage production, won a GOLD HUGO at the Chicago International Television Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary and Best Editing at the Yorkton Film Festival, as well as an Honourable Mention at the Chris Awards.

    He has also executive produced the A&E documentary The Disciples and produced the film The Right To Play for CBC. He was also a script consultant and directing consultant for the highly successful MOCDOCS series on CBC. In addition to producing and directing, he is the voice of Life’s A Zoo.TV, The Wombles, Bob & Margaret, Ace Lightning, Upstairs Downstairs, Bears and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. His acting credits include guest-starring in many stage productions and television series and starring in the eight-hour miniseries The Adventures of Smoke Belliou which aired in Canada, the USA and France.

    Colin Frizzell interviews playwright/creative writer Marilyn Anne Campbell.


    Marilyn Anne Campbell is a writer and occasional puppeteer whose stage plays have been seen by audiences in Winnipeg, Calgary, Hamilton, Halifax, Chicago, South Dakota, and New York. These include the sci-fi comedies Universal Language and A Place in the World, the dramas Flood Control and Marks of Birth, the children’s play The Knight’s Errand, and her Remembrance Day themed play Failing Hands, which was one of three winners of Storybook Theatre (Calgary)’s National TYA Playwriting Competition. Her short story Model Citizen appeared in the YA speculative fiction magazine Inaccurate Realities and is now available to read for free on Wattpad. The Goosefighter, her first venture into writing for comics, will appear in the upcoming Toronto Comics anthology, Osgoode as Gold.

    Episode 21 - Davor Mamuzić

    Davor Mamuzić graduated and received a diploma in the computer animation field in Toronto, Canada. Soon after, under student internship, he worked on several projects for the Discovery Channel and Hollywood films, including, “The Cell” and “Jason X”. All this led Davor to complete studies in different subjects: makeup, acting and cinematography. He then went on to receive two college certificates in Independent Filmmaking and Screenplay Writing. He also worked three and a half years for Croatian TV on OMNI TV as associate producer, cinematographer and editor. His short film ”Framed” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and his documentary “If I Were Somebody” premiered at the Bosnian Film Festival. Both were well received on the internationally film festival circuit. Davor came to Canada, as a refugee from the Bosnian War, at 13 years of age. He currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.

    Eve is an acclaimed Canadian film and television actress and author. Her television credits include Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Goosebumps, Degrassi The Next Generation, Suits, Queer As Folk and Flashpoint among a very long list. Her film roles have included parts in Chicago, Mean Girls, Serendipity and Silent Hill to name a few.

    Eve is branching out into writing with the soon to be released 'I Paint Gophers' which is coming out in 2018.

    In a wide ranging conversation Eve tells us about how she started acting and how she found ways to turn a childhood passion into a long and successful career. Eve also explains how to keep rolling in the face of mean reviews, how to handle the terror of forgetting your lines on stage in live theatre and how rewarding it can be to see your art inspire others to create art for themselves.
