At Stackfest Music Festival, UnDone tells delegates about fierce online reaction to his band playing a Cure song that shall not be named. In a reprise of When the Suffering End, UnDone has disappointing interactions with William the Scared and Felicia the Harsh. There is a sad ending to UnDone's relationship with electronics. He drunkenly rants about food delivery building up to a 50-second punk screed "Skip It." Construction noise and Dr. Bell's monologue on grief entangle in UnDone's mind where the song We Teach Our Objects composes itself.

UnDone flashes back to the scene where Sylvia Fraser met her demise. He later sees Dr. Bell, who assesses why UnDone's eyes have changed colour and enrolls him in the White Male Pattern Greyness – Pacific Northwest study. A sleepless night leads UnDone towards a suicide attempt but one little image negates the idea, landing him safely in the tender lament, I Don't Need Anything.

Waking in a hungover alley, UnDone is soothed by the sweet strains of the song Don't Start Thinking Too Early while waxing nostalgic about how the neighborhood he always hated is gentrifying. He drunkenly rants about social media, resulting in the 50-second punk screed "Self-Efface." In his next step toward deep greyness, UnDone tosses most of his belongings into the alley, attracting Lissette and The Boy. Scavenging and flirtation follow in sync.

UnDone returns to the crime scene where Sylvia Fraser met her demise. He types a letter to his disappeared best friend and bandmate Meursault on a vintage Remington 11 typewriter. A street preacher shouting When Will The Suffering End plants an earworm lyric in UnDone's mind as he unsuccessfully attempts to see his therapist. He just wants to go to a sports bar to see the Bruins whack the Canucks yet again! But the scene descends into a whole other level of greyness when UnDone again encounters the mysterious ... Lissette.

UnDone discovers he is going grey. His hair, yes, but first an iris (the right), leading into the depressingly life-affirming post-rock jam "Irregardless." In the park, he is approached by a woman and a boy who both seem transparent. At the bottle depot UnDone is accosted by Felicia the Harsh, the former bass player in his band Super DeLillo. His drunken rant about Amazon builds into a 50-second punk screed "Prime Garbage."
