Florida GOP Rep. Greg Steube says there “absolutely” needs to be a criminal referral against Hunter Biden following allegations that he lied to Congress. He also weighed in on Michael Cohen’s testimony at the Trump hush money trial, calling Cohen a “serial liar, a convicted liar, who will say whatever people want him to say, to try to go after President Trump.” He slammed Democrats on illegal immigration, saying “this is 100% a political calculation by this administration. If these were Trump voters lining up at the border…they would shut down the border tomorrow.”

Tennessee GOP Rep. Tim Burchett had strong words for the bipartisan border bill in the Senate, calling it “bogus” and “as dangerous as a caulk gun.” He argued Democrats support open borders so they will get “more representation” in areas where illegal immigrants vote. Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson reacted to new FBI documents showing that the federal government knew for years that then-Vice President Joe Biden met with Hunter Biden’s Chinese business partners on an official trip. “I was always suspicious that the FBI, the Department of Justice had walled Hunter Biden off” of a fraud prosecution, Johnson recalled. He also broke down the issues with the proposed Senate border bill, saying “this bill is worse than doing nothing.” He further praised Florida Sen. Rick Scott in his bid for party leadership as having “a more businesslike approach, a more functional approach, a more collaborative approach.”

Arkansas Attorney General Bud Cummins, who is representing the family of airport administrator Bryan Malinowski, who was fatally shot in an ATF raid, suggested the agency’s raid may have been conducted to support a new regulation by the Biden administration. “As bad as that story I just told is,” he explained, “it’s even worse if it’s politically motivated.” He also raised concerns about the militarization of law enforcement, especially in situations where they have time to plan. “They had 1,000 options that would be safer than what they did,” he said. “They created this situation,” he added.
