Great pod, but…

I’ve adjusted down to 4 stars from 5 for audio quality. You’d think the huge telecom that owns Sportsnet would be able to handle this aspect the best. In terms of the information Elliotte is by far the best in the league in terms of quality, quality and integrity, I get that means he needs to be constantly on the phone at all hours and so remote reporting from the street is necessary, but get him some better hardware! Jeff’s connection always seems to be out of sync with the pod/broadcast, even when he talking to guests who connect remotely on their phone which you’d think would be the weak link - which leads to Jeff frequently “stepping” on Elliotte’s sentences as well as their guests. They’re the best though so they really don’t need to have better audio but I find myself rewinding a lot to figure out what’s being said. Still my all time fave pod.

The Best

I love this show. I wasn't even a hockey fan and now I am a daily listener and structure my morning around it (non-Eastern Time listener) I think Jeff Marek is one of the best in the business. He is so knowledgeable and is a great interviewer. I like the set-up of the show and how the entire NHL is covered. One area to expand is more PWHL coverage and talk since you can't really find that anywhere else. But absolutely love this show. Big fan.
