INTUITION: TOOLS to GET IT & USE IT with Sara

INTUITION: TOOLS to GET IT & USE IT with Sara

Thanks for all that chimed in and wanted to know more about Intuition from my episode last week with Dr. Sylvia. Our next week’s episode has an element of Intuition in it, too. (with Richard Laver).

So this solo episode elaborates on Intuition, how you amplify it and listen to it? Sometimes it screams at you to listen, but sometimes we silence it. It is such a useful tool.

My question: Would you, if your young son or daughter came to you with an intuitive feeling or dream, would u listen to them and take it seriously? More on that in next week’s episode.

In this episode, Sara talks more about the gut, heart, brain connection. And how connected Intuition and that “gut feeling” is. The heart, brain and gut work in synchronicity. When all are aligned, you will get the “click-in” that makes you “know”.

Do you ever get mad at yourself for not listening? Sara talks about a dream she had that actually predicted the future – it included a move to the San Francisco area, and her marriage blowing up. Which all wound up true. She also recently listened to her gut/intuition while on the mountain and it told her to proceed and ultimately avoided potential avalanches.

We need to listen to the messages and be in tune to get that messaging. It is so important to listen to the internal rather than the external. Listen to you - not others.

Sara reminds us that Complacency will kill. Do not be complacent with your intuition.

Allow yourself to be courageous (Live Boldly!) and allow your gut to speak to you. Here are some ways to help listen and be in the quiet to allow messages to come in:

Be still. Quiet your mind.  This doesn’t mean you have to sit cross-legged on the floor. You can sit or you can move. You can be on the ocean, a nature walk, etc.

Take a Chance on following your gut instinct- take a risk. The more you do this, it will heighten.

Do Daily body scans. Sometimes fear and excitement live in the body and feel the same way. Your Intuition can say is it just my fear speaking? When it really feels like the messages are coming from within your body, then you know it’s intuition.

Spend time outside. It helps quiet us, and also makes us open to listening within.

Do a Technology Fast.  Again, the goal is to Quiet the mind so you can listen. Take away the constant stimulation on your phone and other devices.

Ask your intuition a question. Don’t just ask the brain, because fear can come in.

Journal writing . Or audio. You can talk into voice memos (such as Day One)

The Arts – Art, music, dance, etc. Use your art as a means to foster the story you want to tell. Tap into intuition and bring forth that story.

The more we tap into our Intuition, the stronger it will become. So, tap into it and create the life you love!

Please share this with your friends and watch Sara on YouTube.

Are you In Limbo? Impatient and fighting it? Listen to Sara and Dr. Sylvia.

Are you In Limbo? Impatient and fighting it? Listen to Sara and Dr. Sylvia.

Many of us are in Limbo. This can affect our peace as the monkey chatter in our brain goes on a loop of “why can’t this happen faster, am I good enough? Why am I in this state?” Living in Limbo is so tough. We want to hold on to the past. We are unclear about the future. Ugh!

Until we look at it differently -- Maybe we need to let go of one thing (a job, a relationship, a move to new location, an activity) and we are holding on so tight because it is a known entity. Sara and Dr. Sylvia show us that we can turn that thinking around and instead know that letting go and being in limbo is not failure. Letting go is actually growth and opens us up to our next chapter. This can ultimately be so exciting.

Our human ego can mess with us. Our ego says this state of Limbo, before we settle into a new stage, is failure. We tell ourselves something didn’t work out. Or maybe we made a change and we are stuck between the old and the new.

Dr. Sylvia shares that in her uncomfortable Limbo state, she started to Journal. This helped her really explore her dilemma, and opened her up to getting messages from a higher power. Sara “journals” also, but instead of writing, she speaks into a recorder on her phone. It’s a great tool to get in touch with your inner wisdom and listen to your intuition that may help you find answers and some peace.

Dr. Sylvia shared that she was in limbo between living in Miami, her home for years, and her new “home” of Geneva. She felt a consuming urge to get back to her “old” life and thus resisting her “new” life. Upon journaling, she received a message that said “you are creating chaos in your head. (Truth!) Stay where you are, take advantage of your new circumstances, and much will come from it. This actually had her feel an inner calm finally. No more fighting in her head. She finally felt an acceptance and resolve to see all the wonders of where she is, and allow the new and unexpected to come forward.

Both Sara and Sylvia rely on intuition a lot. Hear what they have to say about that and about the brain, gut, heart connection.

Limbo isn’t bad. Limbo, sometimes, if we are patient and trust and stay open, can be the beginning of an exciting new chapter that is where we are supposed to be.
Stay tuned to the podcast until the end, you will be gifted with a beautiful meditation with Dr. Sylvia.

Don’t be afraid of being in Limbo. Congratulations on new adventures in life.

Don’t Forget the Simple Pleasures Even Amidst Big Things with Sara

Don’t Forget the Simple Pleasures Even Amidst Big Things with Sara

I am always reminded to pay attention to simple pleasures and be present during them. I talk a lot about doing big things, making bold moves. I realize I also take a lot of joy in the simple pleasures and I wanted to remind us all to relish and take joy in those little things that nourish our everyday lives.

In midst of big change, the little things can keep us in the enjoyment and grateful state that keeps us centered.

    What are your simple pleasures?

What are the moments in your day, the rituals, the actions that remind us how precious and wonderful life is?

Some of mine are making and drinking my coffee with cream and watching it mix together, being on the water, car rides with my son and his friends, journaling whatever way you feel comfortable - I talk into my voice recorder on my phone (we will be talking about this some more with Sylvia on my podcast next week ), for me and maybe for you, I love late night talks with someone I love, or dancing with your dog, and so many more.

Let’s be conscious of the small moments in our day and notice what makes us feel good, maybe puts a smile on our face.

Ultimately, all the small things ground us, and each small thing we do, leads us to be able to handle the bigger things.

I love doing my podcast and I am grateful for all of you. I want each of you to notice something you do that brings you calm and joy in midst of chaos. Let me know on my dm’s or respond to one of my posts that I do for this subject matter on my IG.

    Enjoy the week!!!

PTED: Post Traumatic Embitterment Disorder - The Trauma of Injustice.

PTED: Post Traumatic Embitterment Disorder - The Trauma of Injustice.

In this episode, Sara is joined by her coach Dorit Reichental, who has a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Certified ICF Life Coach. Together, the two coaches invited Krista, who Sara knew from her Grand Canyon excursions, for a coaching session.

Follow the journey of Krista, from being the mother of an autistic child with seizures, to raising her son who now lives independently. The journey has been a long one, and created for Krista a world where most everything was about her son. Her energies, time and commitment were focused on him. Now, as a grown adult, he is functioning enough on his own, that it no longer needs to be Krista’s full-time job.

Krista says it’s been a Life where she’s been bound to her son with obligation and love. What comes out is her truth, vulnerability and admitting to resentment, bitterness and the poignant decree that she didn’t choose this.

Dorit, Krista and Sara share a common experience - all have been through traumas they didn’t choose.

Dorit calls it PTED: Post Traumatic Embitterment Disorder—the Trauma of Injustice.

PTED takes a lot of grieving, forgiving and ultimately gaining one’s self-worth and getting in touch of who you really are. Sara has talked openly about her 10 year journey coming out of her trauma. The coaches help Krista discover where her place is now, forgiveness of herself, forgiving of her son, Dane, and acknowledging the real strides she has accomplished.
All three attest to the Amazing results that come from going thru the darkness.

Krista acknowledges Sara’s book https://www.amazon.com/Walk-Through-This-Harness-Forgiveness/dp/0785238654  as a major source of changing her thinking and attitudes. She also says Sara’s Grand Canyon excursion changed her life dramatically. (Please get in touch with Sara if you are interested. There are a few more spaces left for the June trip)

Sara and Dorit will definitely do these coaching sessions for others in the future. If you are interested, please DM Sara on her Instagram account.

Let’s Stop Making Excuses. Live today. With Sara.

Let’s Stop Making Excuses. Live today. With Sara.

How many of us are just existing, not fully living our life?

Last week’s podcast with Betsy Aaron had a profound effect on Sara. She thought of what Betsy said: “Don’t f’ this up” - Basically talking about your one and only life.

We all need to take responsibility and accountability for how we are living day to day. Don’t sleep through it. You only get one shot.

Sara shares her thoughts with us in this solo podcast.

Some of the takeaways that hopefully will get you grabbing this life and stop making excuses:

*Show up in your life. And live it.

    *Be present.

    *Be honest.

    *Time is precious.

    *Let’s not procrastinate.

    *Let’s not make excuses.

*Put effort into what matters to you.

*Why put energy into what you can’t control? You can only control you.

    *Shift perspective. Don’t overthink.

*Don’t’ focus on Can’t… Focus on Can.

We hope this reminder helps everyone.

And as Sara says: “Don’t waste another day waiting for tomorrow.”

A Pacifist’s Guide to Living with Cancer with Betsy Aaron & Sara

A Pacifist’s Guide to Living with Cancer with Betsy Aaron & Sara

Betsy Aaron is living with stage 4 stomach cancer. She is a writer and has recently started to share her observations, information, and attitude to living peacefully with, rather than waging war on cancer. She and Sara talk about the language the medical industry uses, and that we are too used to: “Fighting it”, “Killing the cells”, “Battling” and knows for her these words weren’t working.

They talk about Betsy’s realization that this “fighting” takes the wrong kind of energy and puts blame on someone who isn’t conquering the disease, thinking they aren’t battling the right way or enough. Betsy takes an active part in decision making with her medical team and believes it’s important to make decisions based on how you feel, what your body needs and how to go about it.

Betsy has done well with not using her energy for fighting. She has reduced her cancer by a lot. Though it doesn’t go away, she knows that an inner peace and peaceful co-existence in her body and spirit really helps her.

One of Betsy’s recent projects includes her 20-episode video series, “A Pacifist’s Guide to Living with Cancer,” now on YouTube. The videos were conceived to help the 1 in 2 who now live with cancer and also to reach the medical community with some new insights.

Betsy earned an MFA in Creative Writing and is the recipient of the New York Foundation for The Arts Award, Fiction.

She works as a copywriter who specializes in creating brand voices for industries including tech, non-profits, health and wellness, entertainment and more. Professional website: betsyaaronthewriter.com.
