    Garden State

    Garden State

So we revisit Garden State and find that we miss it like we miss home— wherever and in whatever form it takes. Hannah and I (Red) also reminisce the time before the internet took over, Friendster, and how we can’t seem to remember Zach Braff in any other movie. Cheers, folks! We’re still here.

    50 First Dates

    50 First Dates

Aloha! Hannah and I revisit this family-friendly and not-crude-at-all rom-com from 2004 while munching on some Spam and pancakes. In the process, we learned that sharks only bite if you touch their private parts. Mahalo, fam.

    The Beach

    The Beach

In this episode, Leo reminds us to “Never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay your welcome” in our discussion of Danny Boyle’s The Beach from the year 2000. Hannah also hands out helpful travel advice about Thailand and we wax poetic about how and why Dumaguete is our version of paradise.

    Before Midnight

    Before Midnight

And we are back, folks! For episode 10, we’re closing out Richard Linklater’s Before series and make our case for it being the best trilogy of all time (LOTR a close second, though Hannah disagrees 😄). Thanks for sticking around, you guys. We’ve got more episodes coming up soon!

    Chef

    Chef

Empingao! We discuss Jon Favreau’s 2014 movie, Chef. This episode highlights our difference in tastes, and why that’s okay. We also talk about food trucks.

    The Conjuring

    The Conjuring

“Look what she made me do!” For this episode, we revisited James Wan’s 2013 horror movie that spawned a franchise. We also discuss our personal tales of the supernatural, the haunted grounds of Silliman University, and how and why the Philippines could be the last battleground between good and evil. It’s an interesting episode as we somehow kept getting disrupted while talking about ghosts, and there’s a phantom recording that we couldn’t recover or listen to. Enjoy!
