Structure is great but need a variety

The last few months have fallen into the same pattern. “From the twisted mind of Bill Simmons comes this podcast about an underrated 80s action/dark comedy“.

The structure is great but please mix it up with more personalities. So happy to see the group of Easy A and hoping to see Shea, Amanda, Jason, Mallory, Any etc. into more episodes.

Also any chance Tyler Parker can get on an episode??? His hot take episodes were the best, I don’t know if he can keep it going for an hour long podcast but I can’t wait to find out.

Women watch more than romantic comedies

Love this podcast very much in general. Can’t help but notice women only seem to review lighthearted romantic comedies. We like thrillers, drama, classics etc. too! Perhaps we have a different perspective to share? I’m sure someone can point out the odd exception to my observation but overall I’ve noticed this. (Can’t comment on participation of non-binary or queer folks as it’s hard to tell from just listening.)

Smart and fun: Comfort food for film nerds

This podcast is a lot like the best part of film school: the conversations you would have after hours with your favourite classmates. It’s unpretentious but very clever, easy to listen to but so engrossing and the cast of hosts are deeply likeable. I’m a journalist, and this is my favourite pod by far. Pick a movie you love and dive in.
