#18: When Reinvention or Failure are your only 2 options w/Sean Hoff of Moniker

#18: When Reinvention or Failure are your only 2 options w/Sean Hoff of Moniker

Covid hit the travel and events industry hard, leaving companies with limited options and dried up revenue streams. Some decided to sit back and wait for things to “normalize” and others jumped to reinvent so they could save their companies and keep their team's employed. Sean Hoff of Moniker, a corporate retreat agency, is the perfect example of what can happen when you embrace change and choose reinvention over failure. Sean’s choices in the last five months kept his agency in tact and he can proudly say that not one of his employees was laid off during these tough months. He would be one of the very few in the travel/events industry that can say this. I admire Sean for his commitment to his team and to his clients and I know you will feel the same after listening to this episode.

#17: Flying with the youngest female Captain at Air Canada - Jessica Traynor

#17: Flying with the youngest female Captain at Air Canada - Jessica Traynor

We are speaking to the youngest female captain at Air Canada today - Jessica Traynor

When I started this podcast, I never imagined who I would get to meet along the way. Today’s episode is just another example of that. I have always been fascinated by this idea that millions of us wake up, walk out the door and have completely different days, doing completely different things. I think it is so cool what we can learn from each other as we all experience this life differently.

That is why it was a real pleasure to interview Jessica Traynor, the youngest female captain at Air Canada.

Jessica was Born and raised between the GTA and Peterborough. She Knew she wanted to be a pilot since grade 9 and it had a lot to do with the fact that her dad was a pilot. She started flight training in 2009 at the age of 18 at Sault College in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario in their 3-year Aviation Technology- Flight Program. Since then she has taught new students how to fly at the college as a Flight Instructor

There is a good chance you have been on one of jessica’s planes because she has flown with Thunder Airlines in Thunder Bay , Air Canada JAZZ and of course Air Canada. She has been with Air Canada since 2017. She Completed her Captain upgrade in May 2020, at the age of 28 as the youngest female to EVER upgrade at the company and no one has been able to claim that title for 84 years.

But like every super hero, when they take their cape off, they have other interests as well. Jessica enjoys travelling, cooking, riding horses and motorcycles and getting outdoors as much as possible. Her partner is also a Pilot at the company. his name is Colin Walker and he is a relief pilot on the 777.  They met when they were both were flying medivac in Thunder Bay and They now live together in their first home in Barrie.

#16: The Other Side of Burn Out with Andrea Tessier

If you are feeling burnout, a lack of passion or even feelings of anger at time, then you need to tune into today’s episode! I am interviewing Andrea Tessier and while her primary focus is on teaching, her experience is highly relatable no matter what field of work you are in.

    Meet Andrea:

Andrea is the founder of Conscious Classrooms - a wellness coaching business that supports educators around the world. It is built on the belief that education is the pathway to a positive future and educators are the guides that help children thrive. By giving teachers the value that they deserve, classrooms can be spaces of conscious authenticity. Through 1:1 coaching, group coaching and Professional Development at the school level, teachers rediscover the joy in teaching and lead inspired lives both inside and outside the classroom.

Andrea Tessier is a master educator turned wellness coach for educators.  She helps teachers overcome burnout and overwhelm and fall back in love with teaching again so they can experience freedom and make an impact that inspires others and changes lives.

"My mission is to completely revolutionize classrooms by supporting the growth of educators so they may create more conscious communities of learners. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to working with teachers and helping them heal themselves so that they can find joy in their classrooms and in their lives. I truly believe everyone has the capacity to create beautiful, sustainable change both within themselves and in the lives of those around them".

Informed by 13 years in the classroom, a degree in Advanced Psychology and my own deep dive into personal inquiry I support educators on their journey to heal, love and rediscover their passion.
