Part 1- How Wendy Day Revolutionized The Rap Industry No Ceilings Podcast

    • Society & Culture

Our guest in today’s episode is Wendy Day, Founder of Rap Coalition, PowerMoves, Artist Centric, and Author of the book “How To Get A Record Deal”.
Wendy completely revolutionized the Music/Rap Industry to what it is today. She helped launch the careers and mentored very famous rappers such as Master P, Eminem, Tupac Shakur, Chuck D, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, David Banner, Trouble, and many more.
Almost 30 years ago Wendy sold her condo, her investments, and her car to fund the non-profit organization Rap Coalition, in the hopes of supporting rap artists get out of bad record deals. In the 90s, the organization continued to flourish, and Wendy then brokered landmark music contracts with Twista and Atlantic Records, as well as Eminem with Interscope Records as well as a $ 30M contract with Cash Money Records and Universal Music Group. Altogether, Wendy's clients have sold over $1 billion of sound recordings.
Currently, Day is in the process of structuring an incubator by the name of Artist Centric, that is designed to help rap artists accelerate the business side of their music careers.

In this episode, Wendy shares jaw-dropping anecdotes about her journey in the Music Industry as well as insightful advice and wisdom for all.
