    S2. Ep5 | What would you do for the greater good? | Josh Morrison | Co-Founder, 1DaySooner

This episode was recorded back in the spring of 2021, when the conversation around COVID-19 vaccinations was different. As the world experienced lockdown, getting a vaccination out to the world was the number 1 priority. For some, that urgency felt like a responsibility to contribute in some way. And so 1DaySooner was born- a movement where 40,000 people globally raised their hands to participate in challenge trials if they were to be approved. What is a challenge trial? A choice to be voluntarily infected with COVID-19 in order to advance clinical trials and ultimately, get the vaccine out but 1 Day Sooner. Ultimately, challenge trials for the COVID-19 vaccine were not approved, but what did emerge from the actions of these 40,000 volunteers was solidarity and altruism. Something our world could use a little more of these days.
