    Blondie's "Call Me"

The importance of Blondie’s “Call Me” can’t be quantified in sales alone. Sure, it was a global hit. But it’s also a part of cinematic history: It’s played during the iconic opening sequence of the movie American Gigolo, starring Richard Gere. It is one of the signature compositions of the man they call the “godfather of disco”, Giorgio Moroder. And let’s not forget the vocal and lyrical contributions of the legendary singer, Debbie Harry. Join hosts Diallo Riddle and LUXXURY as the break down this classic track.

The Perfect Podcast

I have always been fascinated with the stories behind the music, how the songs were made, the meaning behind the lyrics, and One Song delivers in all areas, and then some!
Diallo and LUXXURY are knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining. Well done guys and keep up the good work.

I made a concerted effort to rate

First of all, I’m not a smart man. Took me wayyy too long to figure out how to rate a podcast. But wanted to make the effort because this show is a certified banger and even songs that may not interest you, you’ll be wowed. I’d suggest following them on TikTok as well

So interesting!

It is a great podcast to send you down a rabbit hole of new music. I love how listening to the “stems” of a loved song show me how it is crafted, not to pull it apart, but to give context. I appreciate the song even more after the episode.
