Citizen Science
Love your episode with Erin Udal. I feel strongly about the importance of engaging "non-experts" in the process of science, right now the skills and curiosity of the layperson is a massively untapped resource!! Excited about the future of croudsourced science data and the unique insights we may learn from hobbyists and so-called non experts.
Great podcast on bees, science and conservation science
I love this podcast, although I have to admit the honey bee episodes don't really interest me. I love the episodes on native bees, urban bees, conservation science and finding ways to make our cities and farms more pollinator friendly. If I had my way, this podcast would focus more on native species, and even reach out to butterfly, diptera and other pollinator researchers to talk about how we can better manage our shared spaces for more than just the human species. Some honey bee talk here and there is fine, but it is very much less interesting to me. Great work to the team managing this show.
Great podcast for everyone, not just bee people
I work in the field of honey bees, and find the content interesting and useful for that, but the podcast also covers other bees and pollinator, policy, and the environment which should be of interest to everyone. The website is also a useful gathering point for information already. Always a great listen.
