    Scissor Sisters (Part 2)

    Scissor Sisters (Part 2)

In Part 2 of our deep dive into the notorious Irish "Scissor Sisters" case, we explore the investigation into the brutal slaughter of 39-year-old Farah Swaleh Noor. Sisters Charlotte and Linda Mulhall bludgeoned, stabbed, and dismembered Noor’s body in a crime so shocking that it continues to shock and disgust. How were these two sisters brought to justice? Moreover, how do their troubled pasts, marked by physical violence and substance abuse, influence our perception of the gruesome act they committed against a man known to be a sexual predator? Our exploration delves into the minds and motives behind these exceedingly violent actions, not to justify them, but to seek a deeper understanding of why the Scissor Sisters embarked on such a dark path. TRIGGER WARNING: This episode is graphic in nature and discusses topics of sexual assault and self-harm. Please listen with caution.

    Scissor Sisters (Part 1)

    Scissor Sisters (Part 1)

The notorious "Scissor Sisters" case ranks among the most brutal and shocking in Irish history, leaving a dark mark on the true crime genre. Linda and Charlotte Mulhall, despite a troubled existence marred by alcohol and drug addiction and a history of abuse, had never shown signs of extreme violence or serious legal troubles. That changed dramatically when they gruesomely stabbed, bludgeoned, and cut the throat of their mother's boyfriend, dismembered his body in a bathroom, and discarded the remains in Dublin's Royal Canal. Adding to the horror, they retained his head with the intention of burying it separately, turning a savage murder into a macabre tale of calculated cruelty. In Part 1 of our two-part coverage of this outrageous case, we detail exactly what happened, how it happened, and cover some fascinating facts surrounding "homicidal mutilation." TRIGGER WARNING: This episode is graphic in nature and discusses topics of sexual assault and self-harm. Please listen with caution.

    Neglected to Death

    Neglected to Death

Some fates are worse than death. One such fate—physically melting into a couch, with flesh fusing to the fabric—was absolutely agonizing and tragically endured by a 36-year-old woman named Lacey Fletcher. Lacey faced various challenges that made her entirely dependent upon her parents, Sheila and Clay. However, instead of providing the necessary medical and psychological support that Lacey needed, her parents allowed her to slowly (and painfully) die before their very eyes. Immobile, nonverbal, and unable to call for help, Lacey was at the mercy of two merciless people who allowed maggots to feed off her dying flesh while she was still alive. This case probes deep into the darkest aspects of human nature, where those expected to protect and nurture by virtue of blood and love instead became instruments of outrageous suffering.

    Toolbox Killers

    Toolbox Killers

"For those of you who don’t know what hell is like, you will find out." These were the foreboding words a prosecutor uttered in 1981, moments before playing 17 harrowing minutes of audio that documented the appalling abuse of a 16-year-old girl. The courtroom was enveloped in grief, with many in tears or compelled to leave…all except for Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris, the two perpetrators responsible for the suffering. Known as “The Toolbox Killers,” this infamous serial killer team sat unfazed, even smiling, as their victim's screams filled the room, a stark testament to their depravity. Responsible for the torture and murder of five teenage girls in California, Bitaker and Norris's actions truly represent the epitome of human cruelty. Their heartbreaking, calculated torment of their victims before their deaths is the stuff of nightmares. TRIGGER WARNING: This case is very graphic in nature and may be difficult to listen to. Please listen with caution.

    Kim Kardashian's Killer Klone

    Kim Kardashian's Killer Klone

On what began as a seemingly ordinary afternoon on September 20, 2017, a dense cloud of smoke suddenly enveloped the affluent Southfields neighborhood in Wimbledon, London, casting an ominous veil over the area that signaled the start of an unforeseen and chilling scene. Firefighters, responding to what they initially believed was a routine call about a backyard bonfire gone awry, made a harrowing discovery as they worked to extinguish the flames: dismembered human fingers and a charred nose. The investigation into identifying the incinerated remains culminated in a disturbing revelation that sent shockwaves throughout Europe. Because it became clear that Sophie Lionnet, an innocent 21-year-old French au pair, died a brutal death at the twisted hands of her depraved host parents, Sabrina Kouider and Ouissem "Sam" Medouni. Despite Sabrina's Hollywood-esque exterior and love for the lime light, her inner world was fraught with turmoil, manipulation, and chaos—a stark contrast that ultimately lead to the torture and tragic death of an innocent young woman.

    Face Eating Frat Boy

    Face Eating Frat Boy

In an act that defied all notions of humanity and sanity, a 19-year-old college student named Austin Harrouff viciously stabbed and cannibalized an innocent couple living in Jupiter, Florida. When police arrived at the horrific scene in August of 2016, Austin was discovered swallowing and spitting out chunks of flesh from one of his victim's faces in an act so horrific, that it seemed to be the manifestation of the darkest depths of human depravity.  This grotesque display of violence, however, cannot be detached from the significant role that Austin's mental health played in precipitating these brutal actions. Prior to this devastating event, there were indicators of Austin's deteriorating psychological state, hinting at a profound struggle within. This devastating case forces us to confront questions about the intersection of mental illness and extreme violence, and urges a deeper examination of how society addresses mental health, particularly among the youth, and the mechanisms in place to prevent such tragedies from unfolding. Please listen with caution.

Perfection

I have always been into true crime and fascinated by the demented people of this world. It is rare that I find a true crime podcast that I love. Usually there is an annoying voice, stupid background music or just a general lack of depth that turns me off. Psychodedia is perfection. The hosts of this show truly are a dynamic duo. The intellect and wit are unmatched. Each Wednesday morning I listen to the podcast while preparing for my day as a teacher and it’s always the best day of the week. Thank you! Keep it coming! And come visit Canada ❤️

Had to search for the same crime on a different podcast

I really don’t like the delivery and constant interruption between the podcasters. Banter sounds scripted , it was annoying to listen to. I didn't make it past the 10 minute mark.
