'The human body is a fascinating piece of engineering! Have you ever thought about how utterly amazing it is and what it can do...?
Learning about the body, how it works and what happens when it goes wrong, are all essential for nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals.

Katherine has been teaching all aspects of bioscience to nurses and midwives for over 12 years and in that time has written and edited numerous textbooks and papers to support students in their learning. Through these podcasts she will talk about key aspects of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology that are necessary for healthcare professionals. Like her textbooks, much of the content is based around questions that arise from her own students, so the content is likely to be something that many students will be keen to learn more about or just hear it in a different way, and often hearing or seeing something in a different way is all it takes to "make the penny drop" or have that "lightbulb" moment.

Join me as I explore the ins and outs of the body and hopefully you will discover a whole new sense of wonderment at just how special we all are!
