Bible reading in church can be rather dry. The same can be said sometimes about reading fiction for class. Maybe it's because the focus is on "studying" the text. But there is more to the written word than rational dissection. By taking a step back and reading them aloud with feelings, we are able to renew our connection to the written word, restoring to our classic texts that which makes them an expression of both our humanity and the divine spark within us all.
