S1 E11: Rest like your Business Depends on It (because it does‪)‬ Just Winging It

    • Entrepreneurship

Not to state the obvious, but being an entrepreneur is stressful! But did you know that it’s really important (/crucial) to personalize your self-care practices to your unique stressors?! That’s right - there are 10 different types of stress and specific rest practices that match each type!

Tay only learned this recently after crashing into burnout. She realized that she was doing everything right (eating the right things, prioritizing sleep, syncing her exercise with her cycle, etc) yet she still ended up in burnout. How did this happen?!

This led her to research more about stress, specifically the unique stressors that entrepreneurs face, such as overworking, rumination on work during non-work time, overcommitting, unrealistic to-do lists, constantly comparing yourself to others, and she realized that she wasn’t actually resting and recovering properly.

She shares her discoveries with Jess in today’s episode.

So when physical, mental and cognitive stressors build, how do we continue to prioritize our health and restorative practices? What do those restorative practices look like? And how do we navigate the delicate balance between work and rest?

Tune in to find out!
