    That's What Junkies Do

    That's What Junkies Do

ep -69 With Tommy Figlioli in Staten Island N.Y.

Author of "That's What Junkies Do" and our friend Tommy joins us in this episode to share his incredible recovery story with us. Tommy tells us of growing up in Brooklyn N.Y. back in the day when he looked up to the Mob for respect and his life started heading the wrong direction. He soon found that alcohol gave him courage and he liked the way it made him feel, and so began many years of alcoholism and addiction which grew increasingly worse with harder and deadlier drugs.

Listen in to find out how Tommy eventually was able to recover from all of his addictions and later write the book "That's What Junkies Do".

You can follow these links to Tommy's Instagram Linktree and Buy his book from Amazon and Barnes and Noble

    Guided Meditation - Boundaries

    Guided Meditation - Boundaries

ep - 66 Guided Meditation with our sober Sista Dawn D.

Welcome to The Soberoso™ Podcast where we invite guests and listeners from around the world to join us in “Sharing Our Passion For Recovery.”

Find a comfortable and quiet space in your home and let go of everything that weighs you down. Let go of fear, learn to forgive others and yourself and set yourself free as Dawn D guides us in this 15 minute meditation.

Take this time for yourself to unwind and be in the present moment. Turn your noise distractions off around you, perhaps you would like to turn the lights down, light a candle, maybe some incense and lay down in your bed or sit in a comfortable space. This is a perfect introduction to meditation and a great way to practice some self love and care.

Many of our listeners use our guided meditation to help them ease into a good nights sleep or to get grounded in a moment of stress.

If you enjoyed this episode and would like to try another you can back up to episode - 47 or click on the link here Guided Meditation - Detachment for a similar experience.

We will finish the meditation by reading the 9th Step Promises (Big Book pg 83)and invite you to stay in your relaxed state for as long as you wish….. Namaste

I LOVE that this is not “one size” fits all

I’ve been listening to podcasts for a little while now and was introduced to Soberoso podcasts. As a person in recovery I enjoy hearing others triumph in their own journey and Dora’s podcasts encompasses them all. Even though recovery is a serious manner, Dora’s calm demeanour and sense of humour is so refreshing. When I’m listening to this podcast, I feel like I’m right there.
Do yourself a favour...listen and see how the “beautiful peeps” are doing!!

Powerful

I have just recently started listening to Podcasts and I love the ones on Soberoso. If there is something going on with me, or even if there is not, I can always find the perfect podcast for me to listen to. Love, love, love all the guests and their stories. Dora really knows how to ask the questions that we want to hear the responses for.
Thanks Soberoso and Dora 💕💕

Honest, bare and encouraging!

I love the vulnerability of Dora as she discusses the struggles and successes of her own and her guests. You can tell she gets just as much motivation to stay sober from this podcast as her listeners do.

Keep it up!
