Hi! Welcome to Storytime with Seth Rogen, where every week Seth asks somebody, “Do you have a great story? And if you do, will you tell it on my podcast?” That’s it. That’s the concept. But the results are so much more than that.
This is not a typical comedian-hosted chat show! Each episode plays like a little audio documentary, a feature presentation unto itself, with supporting interviews and archival tape woven into each story with a rhythmic editing style. Not all the stories are knee-slap funny, and not all the guests are known. From a near-death grizzly bear fight in remote Canada, to a life-altering celebrity encounter in a movie theatre, to the revelation of a family secret, Storytime starts with Seth’s curiosity about people and the world, and always ends up in an unexpected place.

The Crappiest Place On Earth
As a child, Paul Scheer developed a taste for cola mixed with milk from his favorite television show. Sounds like a habit one would eventually grow out of, but as Walt Disney once said, “that’s the real trouble with the world: too many people grow up.” Featuring Paul’s dad Bill, and Seth’s parents too.
Listen to Paul Scheer's podcast "Unspooled" wherever podcasts are found. And check out Paul's Twitch channel at twitch.tv/friendzone. Paul has a weekly Thursday show with Rob Huebel and curates an awesome lineup of other programming throughout the month.
A freak accident in South Africa causes Franklin Leonard to rethink his life plans.
A great listen!
A podcast that’s entertaining, humorous and really clever. I think the sound effects are great little additions. Seth has a way of wrapping stories up in a really creative way. Poetry!
After a terrific start with episode one, the quality just hasn’t been there. If you perservere through these excruciatingly slow stories waiting for something to happen, the only good joke is on you.
“I once crashed a car but I wasn’t hurt and nothing happened. Oh, then I took a bungee jump.”
“I once had a job at a restaurant and said horrible things about people and one day it turned out I said mean things about people who turned to be my buddy’s family and nothing happened but it was so funny.”
You’ve been warned.
Did not know about this podcast until I heard another podcast recommend it. Seth Rogan is surprisingly a really good host!
