Full of friendships and laughs
Ryan is a remarkable storyteller, through all the challenges of his diagnosis. He has a gift of making strong connections with people, despite all of life’s hiccups. As a listener, we have the privilege of stepping into Ryan’s world and listen + learn about his bravery as he battles every day. Each episode he tells his weekly story with laughter and heart. The podcast is accompanied by Shane, a kind and generous co-host who is able to weave through the conversations with genuine support and understanding. The pod is a small glimpse into the life of someone going through such immense life changes — but told through humour and friendship.
Appreciate you guys
I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know Ryan over the years and know how awesome of a guy he is. Been really enjoying following his journey and appreciate the openness. Keeping the humour, positivity and strength is so valuable, and I’m sure this pod is helping me and others realize all of that. Stay strong and keep up the good work! Can’t wait for the next episode!

Witty and brimming with humanity
Love this pod! It’s so personal, funny and at times heartbreaking and scary. Everyone knows someone going through the big C. This is a week by week conversation with Ryan Hoben a talented writer and teacher who is going through stage four cancer. It’s witty and brimming with humanity and truly shows light in the darkest of times. If you deal with hard things with humor like I do you will love the pod! Five stars!
