Bored overlord ,

I forgot what good writing sounds like

It’s only the first episode, but this podcast really shows how great a show can be with some proper journalism and writing. You get so used to the podcasts people make “just for fun” in their basement, that you forget it’s a true skill to be a writer. This podcast slaps that fact right in your face, and then wraps you in a warm blanket full of storytelling and imaginative, intelligent prose.
It’s a pleasure to listen to, and brings me back to the early days of serial, when it was a new world of true crime listening. Just a good narrative and an interesting take. Looking forward to more episodes

Not the greatest true crime stories ever told

Big statement to make first off.
Boring introduction to the first episode, too scripted and unappealing
Couldn’t even get through Ep. 1
