Customer Reviews
It’s all about Lulu.
While I have not listened to everything here, nor have I really followed her other work or career, the episodes I have caught done by Lulu had excellent balance of respect and critical questions, going deep enough to get another answer but not so far as to be combative and shut the conversation down.
She has definitely been honing and tuning her craft.
I hope she doesn’t take the advice of some reviewers here that claim she lets people off somehow. Maintenance of the interview relationship is just as important as nailing some point down. I also like the format of calling back for a follow up within the same episode and on the same topic. People can add so much to their conversation after some reflection. I wish this happened more often in podcasts. I hear this one is ending and will look for where Lulu goes next.
Maybe the best interview podcast
So sad this podcast is ending! I feel like it wasn’t around long enough to become as popular as it deserved. Lulu is an excellent interviewer, and they do such an amazing job of finding people with unique perspectives to interview.
Could be better!
I like the concept, it just seems like David isn’t a totally comfortable interviewer. His interview with Anne and Marlon both felt awkward and that he wasn’t really connecting with either of them. Why have a host who is incredibly sensitive to comedy, interview a comedian? It seemed like instead of remaining neutral and asking good questions, the interview pivoted to his own feelings about sensitivity to comedy. Not sold on David as an interviewer.
