Following up on his book Sonic Mosaics: Conversations with Composers (UA Press, 2009), composer Paul STEENHUISEN began producing the SOUNDLAB New Music Podcast to further explore the work of international contemporary music artists. Each episode includes a comprehensive interview, and musical examples related to the discussion. Hear composers and performers in their own words, discussing their creative work, ideas and influences, musical background, collaborations, and whatever else is on their mind.
SOUNDLAB interviews are intended to be listened to and shared freely by inquisitive listeners.

Like a pathway in autumn.
Very insightful and thought provoking. Well done.
Asking good questions
Paul has a great way of asking good questions. He is so prepared for his interviews, and at the same time, has an openness to where the conversation may turn, planned or unplanned. Audio excerpts during the podcast are always well-chosen, and help give the listener an aural context for the interview.
