    Smells and Puberty

Odors make a grand entrance as bodies grow and change. This episode covers everything from how we smell (olfaction) to how we smell (stinky or delicious). There are lots of specific ways to prevent potent odors on increasingly sweaty, oily, hairy bodies — we dig into many of them.

How to Talk about Rough Sex

How to Talk about Rough Sex

Recent news highlights troubling trends in sex, like sexual strangulation (often called choking). Acknowledgment of sexual aggression among teens and young adults — and they report lots of it — has motivated many adults to engage in conversations about sexual mores with the kids in their lives… not one of the sex talks they ever imagined having. This episode provides some initial ways into those conversations.

MychalPink ,

My number one podcast for parenting now

Now that my kids are 11 and 8, I have switched over to exclusively listening to The Puberty Podcast. I absolutely love the topics and guests but especially the chemistry and delivery from Vanessa and Dr Cara. When I go too many days without listening, my parenting skills/instincts takes a noticeable hit. -Mychalpink in Victoria, BC

itsagoodie ,

So amazing!

I love listening to this podcast. It always grounds me. Thank you for being you!

EmColvin ,

Great resource for parenting heading into adolescence.

I love this podcast! Reasonable, logical and evidence based parenting advice. I’ve been looking for resources to help with parenting as my kids are growing- there are so many things out there for babies and littles, but not a lot for older kids and teens. I’ve been telling everyone about this podcast- so great and tackles real issues! Thank you for providing this guidance!!
