I first met Sean at the Los Angeles Post Production Group and he later talked to me about his path to dialogue editing.

Some terms used:

Alt - Alternative take

PFX - any kind of sound effect captured during filming aside from footsteps, cloth movement - (from

M&E (M&E Track) - A sound track with the mixed music and effects on separate channels and no dialogue. This track is sent to foreign countries to create versions of the film in their language. (from The Film Editor's Handbook by Norman Hollyn)

In this episode, Chris and I talk to our friend, writer-producer, Simei Pulu, who is known to most as just “Pulu”.

We all met at RCC and I guess you could say RCC was the start of each one of our own paths into the industry.

Pulu talks about transitioning from a Bio-Tech company to film and TV production and then from a Network TV job to Feature Film Post Production. His transformation is not complete.
