I have spent my life constantly seeking the next big thing and finding it really hard to slow down celebrate the moments. Yet, I now realize how important celebrating along the way is. Evidence in organizational psychology and leadership supports this. Organizations are stronger and people are happier when we celebrate along the way. In our society, we don't typically get taught how to care for ourselves when our emotions get hurt. The concept of emotional first aid is a practical tool created by Guy Winch to help us recognize that our psychological wellbeing is dependent on how we care for ourselves when things get hard.
